Pet Bereavement Counselling

Pet-Bereavement-Counselling Stirling

What is Pet Bereavement Counselling?

Pet bereavement counselling provides emotional support to individuals coping with the loss of a beloved animal companion. Pets are often family members, and their loss can trigger grief similar to losing a close relative. Counselling offers a safe space to process that grief.

Many people feel their grief over a pet is misunderstood or minimised. A specialised service acknowledges that bond and helps individuals:

  • Process grief and emotional pain
  • Navigate feelings of guilt or regret
  • Support adults after a pet’s death
  • Prepare for euthanasia decisions
  • Adjust to life without their companion animal

What my service offers:

One-to-One Counselling

Private sessions (online or in person) focused on emotional support.

Pre-Loss Support

Helping owners prepare for difficult decisions such as euthanasia and anticipatory grief.

Memorial and Closure Guidance

Helping clients create rituals or memories to honour their pet.
